Trainee for HR Services

The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.


We are looking for a TRAINEE FOR HR SERVICES to support our initiatives in attracting and retaining talents.

 

As a trainee, your tasks will include supporting employer branding, communications and activities related to the attraction and belonging of international talents.

 

Work duties

Your main responsibility will be to help set up a new website targeted at international employees arriving at the University. In addition, you will assist with other communication and marketing activities as well as with event organisation. Your duties will also include supporting the preparation of an analysis of the content of various joint orientation components at the University. You will further contribute to other activities in the team, such as our UniBuddy Programme for international staff members and their spouses.

 

You will be part of the Employer Branding and Recruitment team which also provides relocation services for international newcomers. We offer you an opportunity to learn about University HR functions, employer branding, and especially the University’s support services for international staff and their families.

 

What we look for?

We expect you to have an interest and some experience in website development as well as the ability to produce written materials for various channels. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English are essential. We value a development-oriented mindset, analytical abilities, and the capacity to work independently, while understanding broader contexts and connections. We also hope that you are willing to share and apply your own insights and experiences to help us develop better services for the international members of our University community.

 

What we offer?

The duration of the traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee.
