TRAINEE for the Master's Programme in Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies (MAREEES)

The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.

 

We are now looking for a TRAINEE for the Master’s Programme in Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European Studies (MAREEES).

 

Your main tasks as a trainee are to help with the MAREEES programme related tasks such as planning, organising events, collecting information and other communication tasks. You work with programme director, education specialist and steering group. In addition to the programme related tasks, you will participate in the Aleksanteri Institute tasks such as assisting at events and assisting with communications and research work.


We expect you to have good skills in spoken and written English and fluency in communication. Knowledge in Russian and/or Finnish is an advantage. Experience of different social media and communication channels is an asset. We offer you an international, multidisciplinary working environment and interesting tasks. With this position, we wish to encourage students with no previous traineeship experience to apply (and who would like to include the traineeship to their degree).

 

The duration of the traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee.
