TRAINEE, Finnish language and culture
The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.
The discipline of Finnish language and culture at the University of Helsinki is now looking for a TRAINEE.
The position is ideal for anyone interested in teaching Finnish/other languages in the future and requires at least a B2 level of Finnish.
The job involves getting to know the teacher's everyday life (meetings, seminars, student meetings, etc.) and a variety of tasks to support teachers, such as
- assisting in elementary Finnish courses and self-study courses
- organising events in cooperation with other staff (e.g. alumni evening)
We offer you an international, multidisciplinary working environment and interesting tasks. With this position, we wish to encourage students with no previous traineeship experience to apply (and who would like to include the traineeship to their degree).
The duration of the traineeship is from 1 September to 31 December 2026 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee.
