SENIOR SPECIALIST IN SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
As a specialist, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the University of Helsinki's sustainable wellbeing framework and the university's social responsibility. About the Position
As a specialist, your tasks will include developing the university's social responsibility efforts and wellbeing within the planet's boundaries. In your work, you will assist the university in enhancing accessibility and inclusivity and taking active measures to promote diversity within our community and society. You will advance a diverse, accessible, non-discriminatory, and anti-racist study and work culture, emphasizing human and planetary wellbeing, community, and safety. You will strengthen our understanding of the university's responsibilities, risks, and opportunities in upholding social responsibility and safeguarding human rights, from campuses to supply chains and partnerships.
You will act as a specialist in the development of social responsibility and service requests and participate in communication both internally and externally. A key part of your work is understanding the university's broad societal role and engaging in interaction and impactful partnerships also with external actors. You will examine and promote the university's social responsibility goals holistically as part of the university's sustainable wellbeing framework. You are responsible for developing the university's DEI work (diversity, equity, and inclusion) based on research knowledge and the expertise of the university community. You will work closely with the university's equality officer and internal and external stakeholders in relation to developing and implementing social responsibility measures and services. Depending on the applicant's background, the role may also include team leadership responsibilities.
About You
In your role as a specialist, expertise in social responsibility, knowledge of the responsibility field, good organizational and facilitation skills, collaboration and interaction skills, and a solution-oriented and service-minded attitude are emphasized. You have the ability to manage broad entities and bring people and matters together. Goal-oriented collaboration and interaction with diverse individuals inspire you, and you are a skilled communicator. You hold a higher education degree and have fluent English language skills, along with strong experience and expertise in organizational social responsibility themes. We expect the specialist to have fluent written and oral communication skills and a precise and positive working approach. Skills in Swedish and Finnish, as well as expertise by experience, are considered an advantage.

The starting salary for this position ranges from 4000 to 4400 euros per month, depending on the selected candidate's expertise and previous work experience. This is a permanent position.
