International Trainee for the Una Europa team

The University of Helsinki Trainee Programme for International Master Students is open to all international students enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.

 

We are now looking for a International Trainee for the Una Europa team working under International Affairs.  

 

As a trainee, your main tasks will be to support the planning and execution of a researcher mobility pilot and to work with student engagement-related tasks. The UH Una Europa researcher mobility pilot is an internal instrument to offer opportunities for researchers to get to know our Una Europa partners and build connections to initiate new research collaboration. Your role would be to take part in the planning and execution of the mobility programme, its instructions, and to create an evaluation process for the pilot. Other tasks of the trainee are related to working with the UH Una Europa student community, called the Local Student Task Force (LTF). The LTF organizes student-focused events and activities on themes related to Una Europa and your role would be to support the LTF to develop their work to become a thriving student community.

 

As a trainee, you will work closely and in collaboration with the Una Europa team. Your tasks will include:

  • supporting the Project Manager in planning and implementing the researcher mobility pilot
  • administrative and communication tasks related to organizing the researcher mobility pilot
  • planning an evaluation process for the pilot
  • task related to organizing the work of the Local Student Task Force
  • other supportive administrative tasks and other work that align with your interests.

The specific focus of your responsibilities can be defined based on your experience, skills, and interests.  

 

We expect you to have fluency in spoken and written English. You have a proactive way of working and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Experience in mobility-related processes and communications is an advantage.  We offer you an international working environment with supportive and fun colleagues and a view to the University of Helsinki’s strategic, global engagement. You will have the opportunity to develop skills and experience related to designing and implementing processes and evaluation measures, student communication and engagement, and international collaboration.

The duration of the traineeship is from 1st September to 31st December 2025 (four months) of part-time (55%) work, leaving time for studies as well. The salary of a trainee is €825 per month for a part-time (55%) trainee. You are eligible to apply if you are an international student enrolled in a University of Helsinki master’s programme.
